Robert Kraft’s Lack Of Interference Key In Letting Bill Belichick Run Patriots
Robert Kraft’s Lack Of Interference Key In Letting Bill Belichick Run Patriots

... what’s best for the New England Patriots. There’s no coach in sports who knows what’s best for his team better than Belichick, and to do his job properly, he must be given free reign on the football side of the organization. The Patriots have been so successful over the last 17 seasons in part because Patriots owner Robert Kraft trusts Belichick to do what’s best for his team. “Robert and his family have been very supportive of me, gave up a lot to get me here and have been supportive for the years that I’ve been here,” Belichick said Monday. “Our facilities are good. Robert gives me the latitude to do what I think is best for the football team and I appreciate that. I appreciate the opportunity to do the things that I feel are best, make the decisions that I feel are best for the team. There’s not a lot of interference, so I think that smooths it out on the football end. We have a lot of good people working for us in the organization. We seem to through the years have been able to be productive together.”. Productive is an understatement. The Patriots are 201-71 in the regular season and 23-9 in the ...

... who are most experienced in the team's offense. Hogan (thigh), Mitchell (knee) and Amendola (ankle) were all listed as questionable going into the weekend, but all have been deemed physically ready to play as their team vies for a Super Bowl berth. Floyd had his worst game as a member of the Patriots last week in the Divisional Round against the Texans. On two routes, both slants, Floyd ran the pattern in such a way that there appeared to be some miscommunication between him and quarterback Tom Brady. One was picked off and the other was almost picked. Floyd admitted as much last week, saying that there are still intricacies to the Patriots offense that he needs to pick up - including exactly how Brady wants certain routes run. Hogan suffered a thigh injury against the Texans last week but felt optimistic soon thereafter that he'd be good to go for the conference championship. Mitchell hasn't played since suffering a ...

Kraft Attends Exclusive Trump Soiree In Dc

... Pats poobah was among the VIPs at the Chairman’s Global Dinner, which The Wall Street Journal described as “the most exclusive event preceding Trump’s inauguration,” a black-tie, invitation-only confab “to introduce foreign diplomats to the team tasked with implementing the ‘America First’ policies of the next administration.” Kraft was photographed hobnobbing with Kellyanne Conway, Trump’s former campaign manager who’s now a counselor to the president, and Richard Le Frak. Others at the soiree included Attorney General nominee Jeff Sessions, novelist Linda Bruckheimer, chief of staff Reince Priebus, former New York mayor Rudy Giuliani, casino magnate Steve Wynn, and New York Jets owner Woody Johnson. Talks With Robert Kraft To Bring Soccer Stadium To Dorchester Are All But Dead
Talks With Robert Kraft To Bring Soccer Stadium To Dorchester Are All But Dead

... If this deal dies, that would be a shame because a stadium would have helped accelerate the revitalization of Columbia Point. With the boom in South Boston spilling over to Dorchester, this neighborhood should be next. The Bayside site was also slated to be the athletes’ village if Boston had won the bid for the 2024 Summer Olympics. Without a catalyst, it may take another decade for Columbia Point to blossom. The stadium would have forced the state to finally fix Kosciuszko Circle, the notoriously treacherous rotary at the entrance to Columbia Point. Because soccer fans also take the T, the state also would have had to open up its wallet to upgrade the nearby JFK Library/UMass Red Line and commuter rail stop. As for UMass Boston, the lease with Kraft would have provided a steady stream of revenue, enough to jump-start more expansion. UMass wanted to use the soccer money to help develop the rest of its Bayside parcel for academic space and student housing. Officials also ...

... to Be Great’ for America. The Pats owner is feeling optimistic about his pal, the PEOTUS. January 19, 2017, 3:34 p.m. Photo via AP. While it’s up for debate whether or not the  Patriots have a Trump problem , the Patriots owner has no problem whatsoever with Trump. In an interview with the New York Times this week, Robert Kraft lavished praise on the President-Elect, whom he considers a dear friend. The two first met when Trump invited Kraft to play at his golf course in West Palm Beach, and as recently as November , the Brookline native was spotted inside Trump’s eponymous Manhattan tower. “Loyalty is important to me, and he has been a wonderful friend,” Kraft said. “I think one of the great problems in the country today is the working poor, the middle class, that there hasn’t been growth in income on an equal basis, and I really think the policies he’s going to bring to bear are going to be great for the economic side of America.”. Though the Times describes Kraft as “among the ...

Putin Owns A Super Bowl Ring Thanks To A Misunderstanding With Patriots Owner Robert Kraft

... he said, 'Why don't you show it to the president?' And I showed it to him and he put it on, and he sort of just enjoyed it, so he kept it on.". Kraft had a more colorful description of the events back in 2013, with his saying: "I took out the ring and showed it to [Putin], and he put it on and he goes, 'I can kill someone with this ring.' I put my hand out and he put it in his pocket, and three KGB guys got around him and walked out.". The New York Post reported that when the incident originally happened, the Bush administration had asked Kraft, for the sake of US-Russia relations, to say publicly that he gave the ring to Putin as a gift. After Kraft told his updated version of events in 2013, Putin denied stealing the ring or having any memory of meeting Kraft, but he said he would have a replacement ring made for Kraft. A decade later, it appears Kraft never got his ring back. NOW WATCH: South Korea unveils a giant 'Tree of Life' Olympic monument lit up by 400,000 LED lights. More From ...

Robert Kraft Opens Up About Deflategate, Donald Trump

... the saga and his feeling towards the NFL. "Sometimes, the league really messes up, and I think they really messed this up badly," Kraft told The Times. "But we've all agreed to subjugate our right to disrupt everything. I mean, we can, but we're a partnership. There's jealousy, there's envy, there's stupidity. Sometimes, life is unfair, and you have to suck it up and move on and not use it as an excuse.". Want to know everything about your New England Patriots? Take a second to sign up for our FREE Patriots newsletter. As punishment for Deflategate, Kraft saw his team have to fork up a million dollars, a first and a fourth round pick and have his quarterback Tom Brady sit out the first four games of this season. During his absence, the Patriots were able to manage and go 3-1 en route to a 14-2 regular season where Brady thrust himself into the MVP conversation. To this day, Roger Goodell has still not visited Gillette Stadium since the AFC Championship two years ago and won't be there again this Championship Weekend as the commissioner has elected to go to Atlanta for the second time in as many weeks.
