Matt Kalil, Nick Foles, & Domata Peko
Matt Kalil, Nick Foles, & Domata Peko

... It is likely that the Vikings see him as a candidate to be Sam Bradford’s primary backup in 2017, in which Bridgewater is not currently expected to play, and should be considered at least a marginal upgrade to Shaun Hill. The hottest rumors right now still revolve around left tackle (and pizza expert) Matt Kalil. Our rumor-mongering friend Ryan Boser is at it again late into Wednesday evening, leading all of us to believe that the Vikings are currently engaged in a bidding war for Kalil’s services (the football services, not the pizza services… we think). The contract value has increased substantially today. Don’t shoot the messenger. __link__/s Wc MBQqx Kn. — Ryan Boser (@Ryan_Boser) March 9, 2017. As explained the other day , Boser infamously swung and missed big with a Michael Vick rumor before the Bradford trade, but he has accurately scooped some items since then, as well. Nick Foles Returning To Eagles But In Much Different Role; Dt Bennie Logan To Chiefs

... long his rookie season seemed. But his numbers weren't as dominant the following season, after earning the right to start on opening day for the first time. Still, he was 6-2 as a starter before an injury ended his season, forcing the Eagles to turn to backup Mark Sanchez. Foles was traded to the Rams in a blockbuster swap of starters after that season, and his career took a disastrous turn almost immediately. In 2015, he won just four of 11 starts before losing his job. He spent last season as a backup in Kansas City, where he was reunited with head coach Andy Reid , the man who drafted him for the Eagles in 2012. That year, his quarterbacks coach was Doug Pederson, now the Eagles' head coach. Foles was a third-round draft pick. He owns a 20-16 record as a starter, with a 60.4 completion percentage and 88.1 passer rating. He has thrown 56 TD passes and been intercepted 27 times. By contrast, Daniel has started just two games in a ...

... and intelligence were valuable assets to our quarterback room. His veteran leadership was incredibly helpful in Carson's development as a rookie and his familiarity with Coach [Doug] Pederson's offense was instrumental in installing our system last season," Roseman said. "After a healthy discussion with Chase, we both felt like it was best to move forward in a different direction as circumstances have changed since he originally signed. We greatly appreciate Chase's time here and wish him well as he continues his football career.". The Chiefs declined Foles' option last Thursday, making him a free agent. Foles, who turned 28 in January, joined the Chiefs last season as a free agent after being released by the Rams. He played in three games for Kansas City, starting one. He threw for 410 yards and three touchdowns in those three games. Foles played three seasons for the Eagles and one for the Rams before joining the Chiefs. The Eagles' third-round pick in 2012, Foles started five games that season; in 2013, he had one of the more remarkable quarterback seasons in NFL history. Foles threw 27 touchdown passes with just two interceptions in leading the Eagles to the playoffs. He ...

Eagles 7-Round Mock Draft. That does not include Foles' cap hit. __link__ is reporting he signed a two-year, $11 million deal, but it is unclear what the cap hit for 2017 will be. Cap Space: Using $179.5 million as the Eagles' cap, the Eagles have around $5 million in salary cap space (not including Foles' cap hit). According to ESPN's  Jeremy Fowler, there is mutual interest between free agent quarterback Nick Foles and the Buccaneers. That's an interesting option. Foles happens to be a former teammate of newly signed receiver De Sean Jackson. The two were teammates in Philadelphia for two seasons (2012 and 2013). In fact, Jackson's had his best season as pro in 2013 when he was Foles' top target. Foles also had the best season of his career in 2013 and he was selected to the Pro Bowl that season. The star Vikings running back has already been said to have an interest in joining the Patriots, but he could also have his eye on a pair of playoffs teams on the West Coast. NFL Network’s Stacey Dales reported Tuesday that she spoke to “a source close to” Peterson, who said the 2012 MVP found the Seahawks and Raiders to be “desirable” destinations. Dales noted that Peterson “wants to play for a contender” and “is willing to take a pay cut” to make that happen. Nick Foles Could Return To The Eagles In 2017
Nick Foles Could Return To The Eagles In 2017

... , and now. Nick Foles. Yes, it could really happen. As it turns out, the Eagles just might be in need of new backup quarterback this offseason. Chase Daniel is reportedly drawing interest on the trade market. And while the Eagles value him as a mentor to Carson Wentz , there’s no doubt they also value the $6 million they can save in cap space by trading him. Getting some kind of draft pick in return would be the cherry on top. If Daniel is gone, there’s a real possibility Foles could be brought in to replace him. Foles will likely be a free agent when the new league year begins next week. The Chiefs aren’t expected to pick up his $6.4 million option for 2017. The Eagles reportedly had interest in bringing Foles back last offseason when Philadelphia was dealing with a lot of uncertainty at the quarterback position. That obviously never happened, but many pointed ...
