A letter released Monday shows Thomas and Cummins were  caught kissing in his classroom in January. The two were told to stay away from each other, and the teen was removed from Cummins' class, according to documents obtained by WKRN News 2 in Tennessee. The teacher wasn't suspended until the two were caught together in his classroom more than a week later. Cummins also is being charged with kidnapping of Thomas.
