The 2018 Ford Mustang Shelby GT 500 is the newest Mustang from Ford. How much do enthusiasts know about it aside from it being expected to go head-to-head with Chevrolet's supercharged Camaro ZL 1. The 2018 Ford Mustang Shelby GT 500. The Shelby GT 350 was introduced in 2013. Now that the GT 350 is available for sale, this leaves the Shelby GT 500 as the next generation Mustang for Ford to reveal. There are speculations  that the next Mustang will not be a complete redesign. It will most likely be just an updated version of the Shelby GT 350 with Ford focusing on performance tweaks and refinements. Enthusiasts won't see a completely redesigned Mustang for years.
