A woman La Salle County Nursing Home in Naplate answering the telephone said several residents reported bumps and bruises but no serious injuries. Patients at the nursing home were evacuated to a nearby school. Caitlynn Frandin, of Naplate, said she was in her house on 19 th Avenue when she saw a funnel cloud headed her way. She and the others in her house went into the basement. "It was like a crumbling sound," Frandin said. Beneath an awning at a business, Debbie Loughridge stood. Her house was a block away near Center Street and 19 th Avenue. "Every window is broken. Everything is totaled," she said. "I want to get back inside because my dogs are still inside.".
