... days later he's got even more planned for this month in the form of dropping yet another album. As a result of this bold move, the 33-year-old is currently in the running for what would be an unprecedented achievement if he successfully pulls it off, with his back-to-back projects strong contenders to mark the first time in history an artist scored two No. 1 debuts in successive weeks. While the jury is still out regarding if Future will secure such an unbelievably impressive milestone, one thing not up for debate is the too-dope reality that his new material is seriously something special. While it's relatively unusual for an artist to release full-length projects so close together for a variety of reasons, Future is playing by his own rules, with his second album picking up where the first left off, intentionally declaring, "If U purchased #FUTURE u will understand #HNDRXX." With each album representing ...

... be aiming for an unprecedented achievement in the next two weeks on the Billboard 200 chart, thanks to the one-two punch of his pair of new albums: a self-titled set (which was released Feb. 17) and his upcoming HNDRXX (due out Feb. 24). Both were released through A-1/Freebandz/Epic Records. Industry forecasters suggest his self-titled album could debut at No. 1 on the March 11-dated list with perhaps 150,000 equivalent album units earned in the week ending Feb. 23. If HNDRXX performs just as well, it too could open at No. 1 (on the March 18 chart), granting Future a first: back-to-back No. 1 debuts in successive weeks. In the Billboard 200's nearly 61-year history, no act has debuted at No. 1 in consecutive frames, although acts have replaced themselves at No. 1 - just not with back-to-back debuts in the penthouse. The Beatles , Herb Alpert and The Monkees , for example, have all managed to ...

Essential Albums To Listen To Right Now
Essential Albums To Listen To Right Now

... up with serial beat-maker  Oh No  for an extreme head nodder of an album. 3 Dimensional Prescriptions is a California boom bap banger from start to end. Oh No has definitely set himself apart from super-producer brother, Madlib, over the years and has created a hardcore, sample-filled sound that only the best can flow over. Seasoned emcee Tristate has zero issues bobbing and weaving through Oh No’s intricate beats. Roc Marciano – Rosebudd’s Revenge. Roc Marciano has been heavy in the underground since his debut Marcberg in 2010. Three solid albums later and we’re at his new joint Rosebudds Revenge. Roc is one of the few artists out there that produce their own music. His production style is laid back soul and rock loops (sometimes Prog and Kraut) with a mellow flow intertwined that some would refer to as “pimp-ish." Roc never disappoints. If you’re a fan you’ll love it. If not, hopefully … you’ll love it. Lupe Fiasco performs at the Miller Lite Oasis at Summerfest on July 3. Remember the baby-faced first incarnation of Calvin Harris? The star-hoody-wearing young’un who - despite being birthed almost halfway through the decade – managed to curry vast amounts of early favour off the back of his electro-minded ditty about hugging people who were born in the eighties, the eighties? Us neither. These days our Cal has transformed. Currently, he’s best known for making mums utter sentences like ‘what a nice lad he is!’ when they see him in the Armani pants ...

Future Fires Back At Rocko's Statement Regarding Ongoing Lawsuit

... A post shared by The Shade Room (@theshaderoom) on. Feb 22, 2017 at 1:07 pm PST. Roko first sued Future in June of last year for $10 million. Future countersued , claiming Rocko was the one who owed him money. Future is preparing to drop  HNDRXX  Friday (February 24), his second album in two weeks. (This article was first published today [February 22] at 11:19 a.m. PST and is below.). Future poked fun at Rocko  during a Twitter Q&A on Tuesday amid their ongoing legal battle. Over the weekend, rumors circulated that the two had settled their lawsuit and Future was going to give Rocko all of the royalties from his next two albums, which would presumably be  FUTURE  and the upcoming  HNDRXX. Those reports proved false and the two Atlanta rappers are still battling it out in court. Rocko took to Instagram Wednesday (February 22) to clear the air about the lawsuit, which he first filed in June seeking $10 million , claiming Future breached the contract he signed in 2011 with A 1 ...

20 Of The Best Lyrics From Future's 'hndrxx' Album

... of the year riding off the wave of his monstrous 2015, along with hits from his Purple Reign mixtape and fourth solo studio album, EVOL. Just two months in to 2017, Future has returned in a big way. He affirmed his star power with a self-titled album and the announcement of his upcoming Nobody Safe Tour alongside the likes of Young Thug, A$AP Ferg, Migos, Kodak Black and Tory Lanez. On the flip side, he found his name in headlines after rumors that his long-standing lawsuit with former partner Rocko had been settled , requiring the rapper to give up half of the royalties from his next two albums. While those rumors have yet to be confirmed, if there is any truth to it, Future has wasted no time in attempting to cover the debt, first releasing his fifth studio album, Future , just last week, days after news of the lawsuit settlement came to light. This week, he secured another No. 1 album debut on the Billboard 200 , as well as critical acclaim. And today (Feb. ...
